Who we are

Jon Stacey

Jon specializes in copy-editing, particularly of technical documents and reports for international development agencies and research institutions. He has particular experience copy-editing and improving text written by non-native English-speakers.

 
He has worked with a range of international development and global health NGOs and agencies, often stepping in under tight deadlines to help clients finish projects or meet donor reporting requirements on time and with high standards.

He has a BA in Modern Languages (French and German) from Exeter University, and a background in marketing and publishing in the private sector.

Wendy Knerr

Wendy is a writer, editor and researcher with many years’ experience working with research institutions and NGOs around the world. As a writer and editor, she helps transform complex knowledge into clear and readable publications, websites and other materials aimed at policymakers, health agencies and health professionals, donors and the general public.

As a researcher, she conducts systematic reviews and meta-analyses, and appraises evidence on psychosocial and health interventions. (List of published research.)
 

Currently, she works with the University of Warwick Medical School Evidence Review Group (ERG) to appraise clinical evidence on health treatments for the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE). She has also worked with the Universities of Oxford and Glasgow.

 

Specialist topics include cancer screening programmes, health treatment assessment, sexual/reproductive health & rights, HIV/AIDS, gender, parenting, violence prevention (including gender-based violence), sustainable development policies and funding.

Before earning an MSc in Evidence-based Social Intervention from the University of Oxford, Wendy spent more than 15 years providing communications strategies, copy, concepts, and technical writing to clients ranging from Procter and Gamble to Oxfam, Microsoft to Miller Beer, and UNAIDS to the World Health Organization.
